Recent Rave Review from Yelp.com

Thursday, May 19th, 2011

Just wanted to share a recent review we got on Yelp, courtesy of Jenny A in Denver.  (She gave us 5-Stars!)  Thanks for posting Jenny, and we’re glad we could help!!

“I had my first experience with Bell when I found sewage-scented water raining down from the ceiling in my downstairs bathroom. Of course it happened to be on a Saturday afternoon, but since both of our bathrooms feed into the same busted drainage pipe it was vital to get some help out ASAP. I called Bell and they said they could have someone out after 4pm, and at 4pm Jim arrived at our door. He quickly took a look at things and determined that he could fix it, but he didn’t have the correct size pipe in his truck and the warehouse was closed for the rest of the weekend. As we were despairing about not having toilets or showers for another 48 hours Jim made a quick call and found one of the warehouse guys who was willing to make an extra trip out with the needed parts. Outstanding! Jim fixed things up so that we at least had functional toilets for the night, and then he returned on Sunday and finished up the rest of the job.

Any company that is so willing to go above and beyond to make things happen is definitely worth 5 stars. The price was reasonable, especially considering the extra attention and that it was a weekend. Our house was built in 1928, so nothing is ever straight-forward, and Jim stopped before doing anything extra and made sure we were ok with the additional costs before proceeding. In the end, the work was complete, neat, and as promised. We will definitely call Bell again for any plumbing needs!”

Are You Ready For A Home Plumbing Emergency

Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Here are 5 great, easy tips on how to be prepared for a plumbing emergency, from an article on eHow.com.  You don’t need to be a plumber or an expert on your home’s plumbing systems to be prepared in case something does happen.

  • 1- Store valuables above floor level. If you have a basement that you use for storage, consider installing high shelves for your precious things like photographs or childhood toys. You can get them to higher ground in case of flood. You may also wish to store them in the attic.
  • 2 - Learn where your water main is located and how to turn it off. Find the appropriate wrench to shut it off, and store it in the area of the valve.
  • 3 - Learn how to shut off water to your appliances, including sinks, toilets and your kitchen appliances. This is done by turning the shutoff valve behind or under these appliances.
  • 4 - Know the location of any tools that you need to shut off water to a specific location or to the main valve.
  • 5 - Be prepared with the number of a trusted friend, relative or plumber who you can call to fix the problem.

When in doubt, or if something does go wrong, give Bell a call at 303-757-5661.  It’s what we’re here for.
