Material Expeditor
Immediate Supervisor: Field Supervisor

Job Objectives:
Assist the Remodel Field Supervisor with checking in and verifying material for active remodel projects in a timely and effective manner. The Expeditor's primary responsibility is to ensure that remodel jobs are set up for the craftsman to run as efficiently as possible. This encompasses immediately verifying the correct material is received and in good condition, assisting Remodel Department craftsman physically as needed and, material delivery, trash pickups, acquiring and delivering permits, purchasing and picking up material.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1-year experience in Residential Remodel Construction
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle constantly changing production schedules
• Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in good standing
• Must be able to perform the reasonable physical requirements of the position
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and practices.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

• Check, inspect, and verify Remodel product orders as they are received. This includes cross-checking green sheets (Material-Take-Offs) and communication with the Construction Manager when all material is received and the job is ready to schedule.
• Purchase and deliver material requested by craftsman while on the job.
• Assist craftsman in the field when assistance is necessary due to physical requirements of the phase of work.
• Acquire permits for all departments when necessary. Wait for inspectors when doing so to limit craftsman downtime.
• Schedules trash pickups and deliveries with Project lead.
• Assists Field supervisor and Warehouse with picking up materials from offsite vendors.
• Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the Carpentry Sheds.

• Confirm daily time worked matches time reported dispatch/payroll.
• Performed other duties as required or deemed necessary.

• Bags of cement 80 lbs.
• Drywall sheets 40 lbs.
• Plywood sheets 15-30 lbs.
• Swanstone and other panel materials 50- 125 lbs.
• Dura Rock sheets 35 lbs.
• Tile boxed 25-100 lbs.
• Sinks and toilets 10-125 lbs.
